I know it should be a wrong bed!! But I built this one the way I would build a real truck. Moebius 66 Ford, parts box 4x4 suspension, Morgan Automotive Details Mercury conversion and Fireball Modelworks wheels and tires.

Excellent job on the Mercury conversion! Very nice colors and detailing work. All your pickup builds are fantastic, definitely inspirational for others to build more pickups. Interesting note, if it was a F 100 4X4, the bed would actually be correct!

Wow, wonderful piece you have there. Nice work! I even learned something today, a Mercury pickup in '66?

Not sure what year the Mercury trucks were initially introduced, possibly around 1946. They were made in Canada alongside of their Ford counterparts until 1968. Kris Morgan of Morgan Automotive Details {MAD} Has the conversion kits for the 65-66 and 67-68 Mercury pickups in both Styleside and Stepside. If interested, you will have to PM him as they are not on his site.

I really like this Truck.

Exactly how I would have built it.

I like the No Nonsense Stance, the Period Tires and the Merc Conversion.

Very impressive! Such neat work on the kit and conversion looks like straight out of the box!

Well, maybe excepting the added engine compartment detail, you nailed the details, more quality workmanship there!
