Johnny Canuck Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 From the re-worked engine mount and hood and trunk hinges to the incredible work on the seat, dashboard and interior details, I can't recall a better or more interesting NASCAR model build. Fabulous and inspiring. Thanks for taking us on the journey.

MarkJ Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 I don't know how I missed this. I followed the wip very carefully. Maybe I just caught it at Randy's. Anyhoo , fabulous build, Bob. The detail is amazing and the paint and cleanliness of build is through the roof. A really spectacular build and I learned of a good source of aluminum to use on my current build and beyond. Thanks for posting this fine model.
TooOld Posted May 26, 2023 Author Posted May 26, 2023 Thanks very much Mark ! I had some self inflicted issues with the kit but overall it went together as expected . I never posted it in Randy's site , I thought it was shut down . . . do you have a link ?

A lot of guys over there that don't frequent here would love to see your build.
modelcarcrazy Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 I really enjoyed following along during the build process in your WIP. Every day I checked into the forum, the first thing I would do was look and see if you had updated your build thread. I was riveted! Now that you have posted photos of the finished product, I can describe it in one word, Outstanding!

Thedragsterdude Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Not a big petty fan , but that detail is insane I like how you did the opening stuff, what did you use for the hinges?

Thanks Zack ! The hinges are brass rod and tubing , they're about 1/4 of the way down on the first page of my wip thread .

yellowsportwagon Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Well you have definitely proven that it is possible to make a silk purse out of a sows ear with this build. Well done

Well done Thanks Tim ! This was my first Salvino's kit and even though I knew what to expect I was still disappointed when I looked past the super nice body .
WillyBilly Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Beautiful build. I have actually sat in that car as a kid. 1
