ToyTund2009 Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Good day everyone. Does anyone have a set of decals for the Country Time Grand Prix by AMT around 1990. I've searched all after market suppliers and even looked through endless decal sheets at the recent NNL east meet. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
dwc43 Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Did you check here? Slot Cars and Model Car Decals (pattosplace.com) They have everything for race cars and then some.
Horrorshow Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Try mikesdecals.com Although it’s showing none in stock you could email and ask when more are scheduled to be printed
ToyTund2009 Posted May 18, 2023 Author Posted May 18, 2023 Hey guys, thanks for the reply. D.W. I'll check out pattosplace a lot further, looks like they have a ton of stuff, thanks for the tip. Dave, I checked out Mikes and saw they showed them on their site but were oos. I spoke with Mike at NNL east and he told me he had only seen the decals I'm seeking 3 times but wished me luck locating them. Thanks again guys, hopefully someday I'll be able to offer you some advise or tips. Dave M.
dwc43 Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Welcome, anytime. Nice thing about Plato's is they have it by name or car number. I looked by name and did not find it, but I did not know what car number you had. Worth a shot though. They have stuff no one else has.
Horrorshow Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 You could buy the complete model from Mike’s Decals. They have it in stock. It’s actually $1.50 cheaper than the decal sheet lists for, however, older models sometimes have substandard decals.
ToyTund2009 Posted May 20, 2023 Author Posted May 20, 2023 Thanks again to all that replied to my request. It is the #30 Pontiac driven by Michael Waltrip decal sheet I'm looking for. I'm afraid that if I purchased an old kit I'd end up with the same issues I had with my kit decals and paying $45.00 for decals( although different ) is a little to expensive. I built this old kit out of my stash with the goal of improving my painting skills and kinda thought the decals would be garbage anyway, (but I hoped for the best). If I happen to come across a set in the future at a reasonable price I'll probably pick them up, if not, so be it. But thanks again everyone for your help, by the way, the paint job came out pretty good and they should get better going forward. Dave
