Apparently the chase lasted for about 2 hours.

Why don't they do what Michael Caine does with the paps?

Stop to allow them to take a!l the pictures they want provided they leave them alone afterwards. Maybe that's too easy?

stopping for the paps didn't work out too well for diana did it now. now having your mother chased to her death by the same poor excuses of humans may have something to do with it. also michael caine isn't being chased around on the chances he has a nip slip or drops a kid,

I reading new reports that this "2 hour chase" is all an over exaggeration.

But... the paparazzi are getting bolder and aggressive these days. Funny to read the os aren't being charged with any crime/wrong doing during their "pursuit" of Harry & Megan.

Haven't they learned anything from Diana's tragic death?

No, but that's the price of fame whether they like it or not - until somebody gets killed.

Don't want to stir the pot or get hit with the ban stick, but that crash was quite survivable if the backseat passengers had fastened their seatbelts. Would have changed the course of history.

Sad that it happened for sure. She seemed like an amazing person. I don't think that either of her sons inherited any of her charisma.

Interesting that a couple who profess they only want privacy seem to go out of their way to be the center of attention whenever possible...

And wherever possible............. they are ridiculous.

There is nothing going High Speed for 2 hours on the ground in NYC...

Agreed - they were apparently staying on the Upper East Side right by where my then fiancee and I had an apartment for a couple of years...there was no good reason to go on a wacky dash all over town for two hours based on where they started and where they ended up.  Also, yeah, MAYBE if they were on FDR the guy driving could've built up some speed, but there's a stop light every block or two everywhere else, and you're not getting much about 40 without some serious ducking and diving and law-breaking.

Not disputing maybe some paps in cars chased them, but anyone has driven around Manhattan will tell you that they weren't engaged in some wild 100mph chase through the streets for HOURS before they finally got away...

I think it's attention seeking...There is no way a 2 hour car chase in the city would happen..I lived in NY for 15+years with the City 1/2 hour away.Driving in the city is hard enough with the taxi drivers.Even on the Deagan Expressway you couldn't get up any speed. If it was a 2 hrs chase It was a slow one.And why weren't the police involved???Believe me the police love speeders there...And would have noticed a chase of 2 or more cars..

Parliament has denied Harry and Megan's request to pay for extra police security upon their visits back to the old country. This "chase" may have been a play to punctuate their need for extra security from law enforcement.

The government’s lawyer, Robert Palmer, said reimbursing police for security at special events such as a marathon, soccer matches and celebrity weddings was not the same as using “police officers as private bodyguards for the wealthy.” AP News.
