Repstock Posted June 5, 2023 Author Posted June 5, 2023 I have sanded the rivets, and they look much better now. It doesn't really show up in a photo, but in person the effect is much more subtle. Moving on to further detailing.
Repstock Posted June 7, 2023 Author Posted June 7, 2023 I've added a few more details. Almost time to start the interior. 2
Mopar - D Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Wow Tom, excellent work! It would be awesome if you made some resin copies I would be in line to pick a few of them.
Repstock Posted June 9, 2023 Author Posted June 9, 2023 I discovered some better shots of the roof. My rivet pattern on the roof is wrong, so I'm going to address that.
Repstock Posted June 11, 2023 Author Posted June 11, 2023 I sanded off the rivets on the top and redid them in the proper arrangement. I'm glad I didn't have paint on it at this point! Added more details, some of which will make it harder to paint, but I want the strongest possible bond. Not much left to do on the cab! 3
cifenet Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 Talking about repetitive work requiring extreme patience! Small details do speak volumes here!
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 I was wondering about the vent on top of the cab. This thing looks amazing! You are truly a craftsman! Excellent work!
Rockford Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 I'm truly flabbergasted at the workmanship in this job. It's brilliant. If we hadn't seen it come together in the WIP you'd never guess it was hand built.
Repstock Posted June 11, 2023 Author Posted June 11, 2023 (edited) I've started the basic interior. Here are all the components...Cab, skirt, roof, interior, and the "glass". First, we insert the roof. Then, the interior assembly. Finally, the skirting. Edited June 11, 2023 by Repstock 5
disabled modeler Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Stunning work as usual Tom.....very cool too I have always liked these Dodges.
Repstock Posted June 17, 2023 Author Posted June 17, 2023 I've been working on the dash. The upper surfaces are just about done, but there's just as much below the dash as above, so that's next. 1
Repstock Posted June 18, 2023 Author Posted June 18, 2023 All I need are pedals, and I'm calling the dash done. Moving on to other areas. 2
Repstock Posted June 26, 2023 Author Posted June 26, 2023 I'm getting close to assembling the interior. I use Tamiya TS-75 for that bare-bones look. Nothing plush about this truck! 3
Repstock Posted June 28, 2023 Author Posted June 28, 2023 I may add a few items strewn about the interior, but the base interior is done. I have some work to do for a client before I continue, but I'll be back to this soon. 4
