Claude Thibodeau Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 Hi! Never one to waste good leftover parts, my mind got to work when I found the remnants of an Hemi-Hydro hull in a Ziplock at a recent show. I mixed the 3/4" narrowed hull with a Revell Corvette Indy canopy + Johan's 70 Eldo triple wide custom seat + jet engines from a Hasegawa Egg plane kit. The rest (deck, cabin floor, dash, gas tanks, wing, rudder etc.) is scratchbuilt. The trailer and gas tanks/fuel pump, hydraulic cylinder, winch, and all was scratchbuilt with Evergreen and kit sprues. Tamya's & Mr. Hobby Top coat clear + Molotow & Alclad chrome. My first boat ever. Care for a ride? All aboard! CT 5
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 Amazing! Looks so cool and scary at the same time.
Jim B Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 I agree with Jay. Really cool & mildly terrifying all at the same time.
TonyK Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 Imagination and talent run wild! As much as I like the boat, I think I like the trailer even more. Nice job!
happy grumpy Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 Claude, you have such a knack to turn ordinary kit parts into beautiful pieces of art. This one is awesome and unique but also very plausible and convincing.??

Lunajammer Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Oh Claude, will the zaniness ever end? Different is always good so of course I love it. The detail is superb.
Muncie Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 looks like the trailer could double as a sky launcher... that is just way too cool! love it.

David G. Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 What a cool mashup! ? It would make a great Bat Boat. David G.
espo Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 After looking at this you have to wonder, "What must the tow rig look like?" Like the articulated launch cradle.

Little Timmy Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 That is " TOTALLY AWESOME " !!! The trailer is a work of art all by itself. However, shouldn't the trailer axles be a bit further forward. I realise it's probably a light boat, but the tongue weight on the tow vehicle would be very heavy. But I don't care, you have created something that I would love to take a ride in .... and I don't swim.
