Andrew McD Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 This is the Revell Special Edition '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe 2'n 1. The paint is Tamiya TS-11 Maroon clear coated with Tamiya TS-13 Clear. My spray painting skills are still a rough work in progress! I find I tend to get too wet with my wet coats plus I need to take better care to eliminate dust. Lessons learned. This kit has LOTS of chrome. To my mind an excess of chrome, for example chrome plated disc brakes???? I stripped lots of the chrome parts and painted them with various Tamiya acrylics. The front suspension was rather fussy to assemble but with a lot of pre-assembly I sorted it out. Overall a satisfying build and most of all, fun. 11
ncbuckeye67 Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Everyone is their own worst critic, because we all want perfection. I love the color choice, and I think it's a beautiful build.
happy grumpy Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Great looking build. Great color. Each model we build is a teaching lesson for the next one. 50 years later I'm still learning and I love every minute of it. (Well, most of the time). Your build turned out really nice.
espo Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Great looking little '32 five window. Like the way you detailed the engine and chassis. By changing the finishes from all that chrome, they now look far more realistic.
Zippi Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Man I'm really diggin this 32 5 window Coupe. Great little build. Super nice.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Looks great! Tamiya Maroon is a really nice color.
Andrew McD Posted June 8, 2023 Author Posted June 8, 2023 Thanks for all the nice comments! I thought the Tamiya maroon really suits the car.
Rattlecan Dan Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Tastefully done. Conservative cool. Like it a lot. Great work Andrew. Thanks for posting.
XYHARRY Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 Nice colour on this Andrew. Your chassis and engine details are spot on. Well done and thanks for sharing. Cheers, David. ??
mrm Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Very nice. Another testament to what a great kit this is. You definitely did it justice.
Phildaupho Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Your Deuce Coupe illustrates what a good looking model can be built directly from the box and enhanced with some personal touches.
