Calling it almost done. (waiting on more decals) The AMT Chevy van, Scratch built .040 evergreen sheet box with 040 quarter rounds on roof edge. curbside with no interior detail except kit parts. Johan radio console placed into doghouse, AMT TwinSonic light bar, Jewels for side scene flashers. Decals by Charlie. Paint is Walmart spray can, stripe is Testor's red (Insignia or guard's). Dual wheel rims made from backing rim put in front of regular rim, sanded off edge of regular rim so tire would slide over it.  High top ambulance was built from original kit that had the optional side pieces. Was rehabbed last year.  Building tip: I used 5 minute epoxy for the taillights. I mixed Tamiya clear red into the epoxy when mixing A & B then just dropped into the holes I drilled for the taillights, back up light just plain epoxy.

Great looking ambulances and a nice tribute to our first responders. Well done Greg and thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Great job! You make it sound easy! Love the trim and details added to the basic box, and the checker plate bumper. Interesting idea for the double rims, seems simple enough and it works!
