Gave up, for now, on the Fujimi Lamborghini Veneno, because I'm not ready for that one. Yet. Instead I decided to start on 1960 Pontiac Bonneville convertible, which looks like it was made by the same brain surgeons that made the Veneno. Whee! I like this one because My first car was a 1960 Catalina convertible back in the late 60s when I was in high school

Good luck with the build, it can be challenging. How does the chrome look. Mine has a satin finish.

First, Aaaaaaaaaaaugh!!!, Second , the chrome looks looks good.

I heard these kits were tricky. And I have both. Don't know if I'll ever build them.

Great! But, I will build the Pontiac.

Well. I've gotten this far. Too far to turn back now! LOL. Using an aftermarket distributor so I can run the wires. Kit one wasn't much. The color is Tamiya "Sky Blue". Real color was "GM Blue" but that's one ugly color and I had this one already

It's actually a nice kit, if somewhat inaccurate, still I built one and it turns heads!

I think Trumpeter model car kits got a bad rap which caused them to stop making car kits.

I've built this, their Nova and 3 of their Falcons, I like their car kits!

The convertible isn't too bad.

Any inaccuracies are relatively minor.

The problems come with the hard top.

The top is pretty badly out of whack.

It's most likely the same sort of issues that arose with some of the earlier AMT kits.

The convertibles were the standard bearer, and the hard tops were somewhat of an after thought, so the tops were occasionally a little lacking.

Most likely the same problem here.

Trumpeter most likely just added a top to the convertible body, and just didn't get the proportions right in the end.

By the way, your convertible is lovely!!

Ok. Wouldn't let me type with the pictures. I used small solder wire for the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carburetor. I used Detail Masters for the coil. I don't remember where I got the pre wired distributor from. Online somewhere. But, that's where i am now
