Mercuryman54 Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 (edited) 1978-79 AMT Firestone Ford pickup cab and interior, Moebius 1972 Ford F-250 4x4 frame, suspension and drivetrain. Unknown manufacturer resin standard wheelbase bed (swap meet find). My own casting of an original AMT 73-75 Ford pickup grille. I added the bedside toolbox. Fireball Modelworks wheels, tires and hubcaps. Edited July 7, 2023 by Mercuryman54 added content 8
TarheelRick Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Excellent build of one of Ford's better looking trucks. Really like that body style. Overall sharp build and like your choice of body color. 1
espo Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Beautiful two-tone paint colors and finish. Great body trim detailing. Like the wheels and tires. 1

IMO, AMT really miscalculated by not offering the standard 8' bed, it makes of world of difference in building an authentic mid 70's 4 WD. 1
AlbertS Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Nice job. Tell me the engine is a 390, a kit bash item from one of the Moeibus kits? 1
Oldriginal86 Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Beautiful build! Did the cab lights come in the kit or aftermarket? 1

Everything on the engine is from the Moebius kit except hoses and distributor. Distributor is from Morgan Automotive Detail. It is built as a 390, but basically can be almost any FE series engine. {352, 360, 428} Edited July 10, 2023 by Mercuryman54

Maindrian Pace Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 Spectacular build, deserves all of the accolades. 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 Beautiful build! I love the two-tone paint, and how the resin caster actually molded the stake holes open> 1
lghtngyello03 Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 Awesome looking build. The wheel and tire combo really set it off with that lift! 1
