Finally wrapped up this kit . This is the best packaged kit I have ever seen in my 60 or so years of building . Not to difficult if taken step by step however I did find some of the parts gave me a bit of a problem . While I am glad to have it done I feel oddly sad that it is finished . No instructions are included so you have to look at the directions on line or download them . I did the download and ended up with a 2 in. stack of directions . The model is about 20 inches long and is said to weigh about 15 pounds . The kit contains 430 parts and a ton of tiny screws . Finish is pretty good but seems I messed it up a little due to having to turn the body over many times during construction . I used the packing when doing so as they suggest but still had a problem . I will take the blame for that . I have ordered a case for it and once in I doubt I will ever remove it . Overall I did enjoy building it though I do think it was over priced but that’s just my opinion .  This is a fitting kit to be my very last build . Time to hang it up and find another hobby . Thank you for looking and for all the great comments you all have left over the years . I still plan on looking in so keep up the good work !

Congratulations Ray on seeing this build through to the end.  It will certainly become the centerpiece of your collection I am sure.  Please don't be a stranger to the congregation here.

That came out great. Your Cobra builds are always great and this one is no exception.

Hate to see you stop, but hope you enjoy whatever your next en devour is. Rock on!

This is a beautiful model and I guess if cannot have a rwal one, this ios the next best thing. I have always enjoyed your build and comments. You will forever be Cobraman. All the best for the future.

I’ve followed the build all along and hope to see it in person sometime.  Very nice build and it’ makes we wonder why there are not more kits like this in smaller scales that might have the level of detail this one does but that would perhaps encourage people new to the hobby that might be intimidated by a box of white and clear parts, a chrome tree, tires and decals.

Congratulations Ray. A beautiful and stunning replica of an iconic sports car. Fitting that cobra man chooses to end his career with this beauty.

I knew little about Cobras just 2 years ago and learned a lot about them by following your work and associated insight into the cars you modeled.

Thank you for getting me hooked on Cobras and best of luck with your new hobby. Please stay connected with this wonderful group.

Thanks for the kind comments . My batteries arrived and to my surprise the stuff works .  Horn and engine sounds are a bit wimpy but at least I did the wiring right !
