Chirps Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’m a slow builder, trying to fit time at the bench in with everything else. I’m finally calling this one done. It’s a Monogram 1955 Ford Harley Davidson panel combined with the Moebius F350 plow truck. The game plan was to make a Marmon Herrington 4x4 conversion. While not 100% accurate, it certainly looks the part. The frame had to be shortened, frame horns added for the front bumper, but the rest went together surprisingly well. Decals are from the Atlantis fuel truck and a fe other kits This one was fun. Onto the next! 15
espo Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Great drive train concept and the paint and body finish are very realistic looking for a rig that has been in service here in the mid-west. Like the light rusting of the body in all the right places. Did you use the Moebius engine? 1

I know it should've been a straight six or a Y-Block, but really it was more about the "look" than anything else. We'll pretend it got an engine swap at some point! 1

Matt T. Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Love it! I’m a big fan of the Marmon Harringtons, and this one definitely looks the part. Well done. 1
stavanzer Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Great Build. You nailed the Look with the whole package. The weathering is perfect, as is the stance. 1
Chuck Most Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 As you said, may not be an accurate representation of a MH conversion, but dare I say I think it looks better.

Zippi Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I'm diggin this old 55 Ford Service truck. My father in-law used to own a Sinclair station back in the day.
redscampi Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Very nice job. It really has the "look-and-feel" of the real thing.
leafsprings Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Great job on the conversion! We rarely see one of these panels designed for off road use. Looks like Red's Sinclair purchased an ex U.S. Army surplus vehicle.
