JVG Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Building a nova. The tail lights in the amt kit are not the translucent red parts I am accustom to instead they are chrome. What paint do you guys use ? I have stop light red from MCW Thank you for ideas
yh70 Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 (edited) i been using this on Chrome for many years..https://www.amazon.com/Tamiya-Acrylic-X27-Gloss-Clear/dp/B00TT856HG?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A1ZHB4F83K0YSQ Edited July 25, 2023 by yh70
Bugatti Fan Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 The Tamiya translucents work well for me. They are much more resistant to wear and fading than using a marker pen.
atomicholiday Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 I flip back and forth between Tamiya clear red and Model Master stop light red. Depends on the project. The MM is transparent, but is also metallic.
NOBLNG Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 (edited) I used the Tamiya X-27 clear red also. Not sure which Nova you’re building, but I had a few issues with mine. My build thread here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/169718-amt-‘66-nova/#comment-2556947 Edited July 25, 2023 by NOBLNG
