Very nice work in a very sharp color!

Ah, yes! I've been there once or twice myself, lol!

Beautiful Mustang Chuck. I built the Amt/Ertl 71 some years ago and thought it was OK until I saw yours. Well done and thanks for sharing. 20181007_104419.thumb.jpg.c9cea6dbacd30893bba05cb395f884a9.jpg

Great looking build. I love the color choice.                                                                                                                        On a side note, I'd like to see the instruction sheet to see if it is correct or not. Your front suspension is on backwards. The tie rods should be behind the suspension and the strut arms should go forward with the cross member piece below the radiator. This is an FYI

Lol! You're right! Went back to check the instructions...yep! Well you can't unsee that goof ?.  Learned long ago it's easier to fess up to a mistake early than to ignore it till later.

To late in the game for reconstructive surgery since it is firmly cemented and I don't want to particularly create more harm than good in the correction. But somehow the wheel base stayed the same!

My sincere apologies to the Mustang crowd in the forum for a grevious inaccuracy that "steered" me in the wrong direction. Can't help but laugh about it, doesn't change the enjoyable time I spent making this kit and rest assured this will be the one and only Mustang prototype with this innovative front suspension in my collection from here on out!

Good catch.  The first thing I look at is if the rear spoiler is facing the right way.

As others have said, this is a fantastic looking build! I've been waiting to see some builds of this new Revell kit to determine if I should throw a question out there about it... to my eyes, I think the clear headlight lenses were molded a tad too big in circumference.

Anyone have any thoughts regarding what my eyes are seeing?

Excellent work in this. I love the Grabber Lime. I think this is the first one of these new Revell kits I’ve seen built up. I’m still awaiting stock to arrive in the UK.
Thanks for the tips about the decal and the rear view mirror.
iI hope Revell do some other versions of this kit too.

I look at that myself, but usually keep quiet when it's not. Sometimes people like the look when its turned around.

WTH! (What the Henry!) Would not believe what I've been through to figure out and upload pictures from my Gallery. Never been a problem until now but it has been resolved. Seems that my last update on my phone converted photos to HCIE instead of jpg configuration and the forum doesn't accept HCIE files.

This is a great kit! A really great kit.  A detailed 351 Cleveland engine, a detailed chassis espcially the front suspension, correct engine bay and a simple to put together but detailed interior. All of this capped by plenty of decals for the the engine, interior, wheels and body accents.

My first choice was yellow but after Googling 71 Mustang Boss 351, I was intrigued with the Grabber Lime. Very few produced in the Boss 351 and 429 variant, not a big seller when introduced in 71 but a highly sought after paint scheme in today's market.  Krylon Fusion Gloss Jungle Green is a close match. I do plan on the Yellow version.

Overall a joy to build. All the sub sections go together nicely and when applied with others.

The only issue is the rear view mirror is applied to the windshield. Can be a big mess if a unsteady hand fumbles the application. 2nd is the lower rocker panel and side stripe decals. Be extra vigilant when sliding the decal off the wet decal paper onto the body. If the decal folds over onto itself it can be a tense standoff to unfold and reapply.

Make sure to slide the decal just slightly off the backing paper, apply that part tothe body and pull the backing paper at a slight angle while holding the decal at the starting point as an anchor. You will have to adjust for a straight decal line.

Will add a undercarriage pic soon...

Mark....as noted elsewhere in the Car Kit News section of the forum...the appearance of the headlights being too large is partly that Chuck (and several others, not to mention, yes, myself) have added a chrome accent around the headlight rings engraved into the grille piece.  This incorrectly visually emphasizes the headlight ring and contributes to the oversized appearance of the headlamps.

Here's a couple of more shots of applicable 1/1s shot at the 30th Anniversary Ford SVT Reunion at Ford World Headquarters earlier today...

I have yet to see a build of this kit where this piece is black as in the 1/1s in your photos; it will be interesting to see if the oversized appearance is still there when this is taken into account during construction of the kit.  Needless to say, I will be doing this on my next build of this terrific kit.......TIM
