Bugatti Fan
I believe it is Mark Gustavson who was responsible for and organised all the GSL Shows. He is also behind the creation of the Model Car Builders Museum in Sandy, Utah. So Thomas, were you actually referring to the magazine coverage of the event? sfhess
BF, Gregg has always been one of the hardest-working people I have seen at any model car show, taking pictures of the models, visiting with people, promoting the magazine and just being a great guy. Yes, he has to stop and rest sometimes, but he puts a lot of us to shame with the effort he puts in to produce the magazine and promote the hobby. He was in the show room at GSL late Saturday night, getting photos of models that were not brought to him for photographs during public show hours. Thank you, Gregg, for all you do!!! Bugatti Fan
I guessed somehow that it was for MCMs promotion and coverage that Gregg was there. Where does Larry Greenberg feature in all this as he now appears to be the main editor of MCM? Thomas' post gave the impression that Gregg actually organised the show. Mark Gustavson and his team should take the credit for organising the show plus venue etc. Edited August 4, 2023 by Bugatti Fan
Dave Ambrose
MCM did not organize GSL. Mark Gustafson and his fellow Trustees did. They should be referred to collectively as they all play major roles in putting on the show. MCM did have a larger than usual presence at the show, which may account for some confusion. Larry is an associate editor and contributor. Most editorial decisions are made by the editorial board which, includes multiple staff members. I've known Gregg since before MCM . . . he's ALWAYS been the hardest working and the hardest charging guy in the room - even despite the agonizing medical issues he's had to battle and defeat.
