I painted the body today in Tamiya AS-15 Tan.  I thought it came out pretty good.  Now to decide if I want to add the words to the side of the car.

dwc43, it probably won't be back until early 2024.  I'm still trying to figure out why Georgia is the new Hollywood.  It seems that many shows seem to be produced there.  Must be the  lack of Covid requirements in that state.

Favorable taxes for movie and tv production.   Same with Louisiana..

I hope it comes back MrMike. And Rob Hall is right, it's taxes. That's why a bunch of stuff is filmed in Canada too. That's why Flashpoint was taped in Canada. I loved Flashpoint and at first, they tried to make it look like LA and implied that it was, but they gave up on that. You would see all the local cops with the red striped bands on their caps and their Canadian police uniforms. It was still a good cop show.

And w/ Canada it's gone on a long time--30 years ago the X-Files was filmed in the Vancouver BC area..

Flashpoint was actually a Canadian tv series, though.  Never seen it, but I liked Night Heat in the 80s, was filmed in Toronto.

Yes, tax credits are always a welcomed thing.  I had to research Flashpoint and Night Heat to find out what they were as I have never heard of them.  As far as I know, Will Trent will return now that the actors strike is over.  It was a successful series on ABC and it deserves to be seen again in new episodes.  My guess is that it will return sometime in early 2024.  Many networks are now committed to their various schedules and they will stick mostly with them  for now.

Will Trent is one of the few traditional network series I've watched in recent years..only caught it because it was streaming on Hulu.   My favorite recent US streaming series are Better Call Saul, Bosch, Bosch: Legacy, and The Lincoln Lawyer (I love the adaptations of Michael Connelly books).   Other than those, I mostly stream UK and other European subtitled shows..

You can YouTube Flashpoint if oyu want to watch it. They have the S.R.U. the Strategic Response Unit. It's just like a S.W.A.T. unit but they are trained in phsycology as well. Helps em talk down suspects and try to stay two steps in front of them if they can understand them. I liked it anyways. lol

Thanks Rob and D.W.!  D.W., thanks for the Youtube tip on Flashpoint.  I may look at it and see if I like it.

Will Trent Porsche 911 Targa

Work continues on the Will Trent Porsche 911 Targa. I have installed the windshield, and the Targa roof, trimmed the sides and front visors, added the light lens to the front and rear and added the rear license plate holder. I have not been able to find the license plate for Will's Porsche so I may come up with one and print it out.

Georgia across the top of the plate. White plate with the peach in the center of it. I can't read the county name but it's rather long. The tag number is PR9Z084

Watch at the 40 second mark.

More than welcome. That must be the new plate design. Georgia is centered on Trent's plate. Either way it will work. Most will not notice that. Glad to help out.

The plate I used is a 1998 design from Acme License Plate Maker.  The plate could have been updated somewhere along the way during the last 20 years or so.  Again, thank you!

More than welcome. I figured it was an update. They changed our plates to blue last year for no good reason. I don't like em. lol

I had decided a while ago to add the scripts to the left side of Will Trent's Porsche 911 Targa. But, adding them was another matter altogether. Do I use my airbrush or a felt tip marker? I decided on a felt tip marker since I can go over the script if needed and it was needed since my first marker was low on ink. The script is not exact, but close enough.  The third picture is all of the parts I need to chrome plate.

I added my chrome parts last night. The only part I wasn't able to add was the antenna base which I immediately lost when I removed it from the sprue. On to decals and then I think it's done!

I have finished my Will Trent's 1973 Porsche 911 Targa and it is posted in Under Glass.  I would like to thank all those who have viewed, commented and helped me on this build.
