Great job Mike on another classic door slammer. I was unfamiliar with this car but found two nice photos of it on the George Klass Website, your model looks very accurate relative to the photos there. It’s mind boggling how many SS drag cars were in competition in those early years when drag racing was a relatively affordable sport.

Love black cars with red interiors. This Revell kit is so good, I’m tempted to do another SS’er  if I can find a nice set of decals (these Zorro decals are no where to be found). I would love to build Dick Harrell’s black ‘62 Impala. Always enjoy your postings, keep ‘em coming!!!!

John you can get these decals from eBay seller teresawulf this is the listing Ed Sinistri ZORRO Chevy impala  1/24 scale NHRA Drag water slide decals. They are printed on a black background definitely not slixx quality, but they display ok .I built the Dick Harrell car about 12 years ago, I’ll have to clean it up and take some pictures of it . The decals for the Harrell car came from MCW, and unfortunately I think they are out of production. I have to agree this kit builds up really nice , but I ask myself why didn’t they tool up a see of headers for the drag version. As that was one of the first day two modifications we made to our cars. Those last 3 mopar builds you did were just outstanding.

Man, there are so many things I could say about this model.  This is a perfect rendition of a car you would see at your local dragstrip in the late '60's or early '70's.  The paint scheme is wicked and I love it before the signage was applied, as well as after.

Really looks the part, reminds me of my younger days waiting my turn to roll my '65 SS Chevelle into the lights at Sportsman's Park Dragway in Farmington, NC when it was a 1/4 mile. Those days of drag-racing were really some of the best. Your "Zorro" looks like so many of the early Stockers and Super-Stockers of the day. Very nice build.
