mr moto
Does anyone have experience and advice on spraying textured paints through an airbrush? It seems like asking for airbrush clogs to try it but I'd like to able to do it. The particular paint I have in mind is Duplicolor trunk paint which gives a fine-grained sandy type finish. I'd love to hear any real world experiences. Thanks!
Monty
Can't say I've tried it, but if I was going to I'd switch up to a .5 mm needle etc.
Dpate
I’ve sprayed textured paint from MCW through a .5 no problems. You should be able to spray the dupli color thinned no problem with a .5. Edited August 18, 2023 by Dpate
Dave G.
I'd go to a .7 or even use my Paasche H with #5 which is a 1.0. You don't have to open it ( believe it or not it is capable of a fine spray when closed down) up but you can run a blood clot through the sucker if you had to. mr moto
Thanks guys for bringing me to my senses. Sounds like good advice and I realized I have a .7 nozzle set for my Grex that I don't normally use. Time to get it out!
