Having owned one back in early 80's, I have a soft spot for these, only 2 years with this body style, I just like this car, had a lot of fun too. If I could have one today this is how I would like it to look like. This was my last project before I went on vacation for the last 2 weeks. The paint is Tamiya matt grey acrylic ,top coated with TS 13 and slightly polished. I have in all 8 of these. The kit is simple and yet quite good and a joy to build.

The engine in the model is pretty basic and I did not detailed it. However, I had a spare that I detailed and added the beautiful resin carbs and intake from fireball. It makes a world of difference. I made a frame to display it alongside the car so it would not be hidden under the hood.

Thanks for looking .

Cool build Mario. I like what you did with the display engine. I've been thinking of making up some engine trolleys to display my spare engines. Well done.

Cheers,

David. ??

Love everything about this build! I used to really love a lot of chrome on my muscle cars, but the more I see work like yours, I am inspired to take a stab at a monochromatic look.

Great looking paint finish. The low lighting and the diorama setting really add to the appearance. The engine detailing is very realistic looking. Always fun to build a subject you're familiar with and enjoy.

Thanks David. I like the idea of displaying a detailed engine with the car. many kits offer spare engines so it's a win win.

Thanks Jeff, I wanted to give this one a more modern vibe, and the monochrome approach works well on this body style.

Cool Plymouth, Mario. It looks a bit evil in gray. The engine is nicely done, too. You're right, those carbs really make a big difference.

Thanks Trevor, Joseph makes some awesome stuff, I forgot to mention the wheels and tires are also from fireball.

Just beautiful Mario! Low, wide, long, and sinister. How could you go wrong with a '71 GTX? :)

Thanks Emre, I wish revell would issue a 72 version, it would be easy to do or round 2 re issuing the RR 72.

Thanks David, There are those kits we could build over and over this one of them for me.
