Hey, Guys....... Is the 1/16 Corvette by MPC a decent kit? The '57 has recently caught my eye, they're not overly expensive and have a lot of features. I don't believe I've ever seen one built...... Around what time was it tooled? Anyone have a build to share?

Thanks.....

I have had a couple of them over the years. The MPC 'Vettes have decent detail (much more refined than the 1:16 AMT kits). The only drawback I recall was the dated rolling stock for the custom versions, but plenty of parts to rectify that issue.

It's good to hear that they're a little better than the AMT....... The recent Thunderbird from AMT has some super nice slotted wheels, though!

The slots in the '57 Thunderbird aren't bad, but if you have the chance check out the wire wheels in the '55 T-Bird! That's a tooling insert Round2 should dig out of storage.

I had it many moons ago.  The thing I didn't like is that it didn't come with a set of stock whitewhall tires.

Yep, I have two of these kits.

I have a plastic circle template that works wonders for painting whitewalls

I believe this kit might have had whitewalls, just not this version........ I'm not 100% sure, but the release without the electrical parts may have them....
