Thought I would share some photos of a build from several years ago.  The kit is the 1/25 AMT/ERTL Pro Shop 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, kit #8455.  This was pretty much an out of the box build with the only addition being the Keystone mag wheels and Goodyear tires that I had laying around from some other kit.  I used Tamiya Metallic Red for the body color and the interior is a combination of Model Masters reds and gray paints.  The antenna was made using music wire and the bright work was done with Bare Metal Foil Chrome and Gold.

Sorry, but for some reason I didn't take photos of the interior, way back then, but I did add a purse - on the passenger seat, along with a couple of school books and a PeeChee folder to the rear seat.  I wanted the car to represent what a young lady in her senior year of high school during the late 60's might be driving.

Enjoy the photos.

Great looking Chevy and I like your back story. The Keystones would fit the time frame, but she would need a club of some sort to keep the guys away.

That is a beautiful rendition of the classic 57 Chevy.  I probably have 10 more more 57 Chevy kits new in the box, but have never built one.  The chrome scares me off.  I'll build one some day.  I'm bookmarking your build for inspiration.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, it is really appreciated.  I have to agree with beeRS that the AMT Pro Shop '57 is a delight to build with no real problems to speak of.

Thanks again.
