KC FitiWerks Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Picked another "Ollie's" deal, 1/32 1960 TThunderbird curbside. Don't know what I'm going to do yet, lowrider, or cartoons hotrod. Found some old paint(15-20 yrs) in the back of a drawer. It was jellied a little so I added reducer and let it fly. Over a white base. Here's the results, still have to sand & polish... 2
customline Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 (edited) Testor's grape metallic? Can't wait to see it in foil! I get my coffee pods at Ollie's and every time I go there's more kits and I can't help myself and I'm running out of storage space.....you probably have a similar experience, no doubt. ? atomicholiday Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Cool color. It suits the car very nicely. Should look awesome when done.

Rattlecan Dan Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Wow! Now THAT's color! Looking forward to completion.
KC FitiWerks Posted September 21, 2023 Author Posted September 21, 2023 (edited) Here's the paint. If I remember right, I bought it @ the 1997 Heartland Nationals. I had big plans for it back then. 27 years later, not dried out! Now I realize why I don't build 1/32 scale! The dust is like boulders! Edited September 21, 2023 by KC FitiWerks
KC FitiWerks Posted September 21, 2023 Author Posted September 21, 2023 Well...cut through the paint, still haven't sanded the dust. Off to the purple bath and take 2!
atomicholiday Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 That’s a bummer. I’ve been there too many times myself. Going to stay with the same color?

However I'm going to test different base colors. White, black, gold and silver. Get some spoon samples and go from there. I was also thinking, taking the tbird emblem off the roof and putting a oprah window there. 1
