StevenGuthmiller Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Well folks, after nearly a year and a half of poking and prodding this project, it's finally finished! For those of you who followed my WIP thread, you'll know what went into the construction, so I won't bore you with the details at this time, but by all means, if you have a question, I'll be more than happy to try to answer. Thank you all for bearing with me for...........forever!! Hope you enjoy. (Sorry, it's a little pic heavy) Steve 16
drifterdon Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 This is absolutely the most detailed build I've ever seen. All you need is to turn the key, start her up and drive away. That realistic. Incredible job sir. Your WIP is my new tutorial on how to build a model car.
Kah puts Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Congratulations on your opus Pontiac Bonneville convertible, it’s just outstanding in every aspect. Thanks for sharing your art with us, if this was a movie you’d get a Oscar ?
Hi-Po Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Simply beautiful and I totally agree with drifterdon. Outstanding build. Thanks for sharing.
happy grumpy Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 I just picked my jaw from the floor, Speechless! . What a wonderful piece of work. everything is there, There's a lot to take in with so many details. The outside photos only add to the realism and the underside is absolutely beautiful. You can be proud of this one.
SpikeSchumacher Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Steve, your build are just outstanding... ??
Rattlecan Dan Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Your 1:1 realism and modeling skills are amazing. Thanks for posting and sharing.

Rob Hall Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Beautiful build..love the color.. great photos.
Justin Porter Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Really, this is such a classy and complete build. It was really enlightening to follow along and eye-opening to the possibilities within the scale for detailing.
Can-Con Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Just phenomenal, Steve. That's museum quality work for sure.
RocketFoot Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Nice job building and topped off with great photos! I don't know if I have the patients to reach your level of detail work! Well done!
espo Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 The most extensively detailed build that I can remember watching. You could write a book about what and how everything was done on this. In some of the pictures you have to remind yourself that this is a model and not a beautifully restored real car. 1
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Looks amazing. I wouldn't mind one in my collection.
karbuildr Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 I knew you'd been at this build for quite some time. I don't know if I would have had the patience you exhibited to complete this. Absolutely museum quality and words are hard to find to describe how amazing this build looks. Top notch, incredible, outstanding, I could go on and on. Congratulations on finally completing such an exceptional model.
Yeah Nah Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Words fail me, but here's one that still falls way short: STUNNING.
bbowser Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 You, sir, are an artist! I learned to drive in a '64 Grand Prix so this really struck a chord. Many thanks for sharing your work and processes.
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Holy cow. It was sure worth the wait. Especially the shot with the air filter taken apart. Man. Nice, nice, nice.
charger74 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 That is a masterpiece, you did an Amazing job ????
Robberbaron Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Incredible work, as always. It's always a pleasure following your builds.
'70 Grande Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 A work of art; simply spectacular! Most convertibles I see with their top in the up-position look a bit awkward to my eyes, but I really like the look of your build with the top up; it looks terrific either way!
