Well, guys...... I guess I can call this finished! I don't envy you guys who were stuck building these old tool kits when they were new. This wasn't too bad, but it wasn't without it's troubles.....

This is a kid's car who's family runs a body shop and it was a graduation present (1958).

Nice work, TJ, that color looks a lot better than the last time I used it. Testor's is perfectly good paint when applied with love ?. (and micro-polished with tenacity and well developed skill). CONGRATS!

Jim man! I really appreciate the nice comment...... I didn't use Testors paint though. It's actually DupliColor PM Pacific Green. It's a Ford color.

I just hope that I did a good job capturing the actual color in these pics! You remember, I was having some problems with the paint looking blue......

Oh, I remember that (I think).  I love it if it really looks like it does on my Android tablet. ? it's got a really nice metallic overtone.  What light are the photos taken in?

It's lit with just a 6500K daylight compact-florescent bulb...... It's the light under my range hood. There's also a small LED lantern in the mix. I tried to use the lantern to cancel out some shadow.......

Love these old 36 Fords.  Just picked one up off the ole interweb.  Nicely done.  Really like the color.

Great looking paint color and finish. Like the hub cap and wide whites look, especially the flat head engine.

Very nice traditional build. I liked the indoor photos and I like the outdoor photos even better. Beautiful color, I like the wide whites and the details.

TJ, your beautiful build reminded me of two cars; the first my wife's 65 Impala when we first met - that gorgeous Tahitian Turquoise blue yours looks a lot like. And second, the cover car for Hot Rod Magazine April 1952. Well done!
