bbowser Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Only 39 produced between 1961 and 1964. Won the GT championship for Ferrari 3 years straight, 1962 through 1964. In 1965 it finally lost to the American Shelby Cobra. 2953cc V-12, 295 hp This is the Italeri kit in a Testors box. I thought I had some engine pics but I can't seem to locate them, I'll add if I find them. Comments welcome, thanks for looking. 10
vamach1 Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Very nice build. Interesting that Italeri sold the molds to Testors only a year later or perhaps just bought the branding rights. Have the kit ever been reissued since 1988?
espo Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Great looking build and the correct company colors. Lots of fine detailing on the body trim.
Roger U Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Great looking model. Very nice detailing and paint.

karbuildr Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Great looking Ferrari, in red as it should be ?. Seriously, very well done, nice details all around.
atomicholiday Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Excellent build Bruce. She’s beautiful. Are those the wheels that came with the kit? They look great.?

ncbuckeye67 Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Excellent build! The quality of those kits were ahead of their time. I still have 3 of the Porsches in my stash.
happy grumpy Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 That's one nice looking Ferrari Bruce. I love these old classic Ferraris. Nice to see one in here.
peteski Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Very nice build Bruce! Those cars have such classic lines. On 9/24/2023 at 12:48 PM, vamach1 said: Very nice build. From what I read on this forum (from people who know more about kit manufacturers than me) is that Testors never owned any molds. All their kits were just repackaged kits from different manufacturers. 1
RocketFoot Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Looks great! Reminds me of Cameron's Dad's Ferrari in Ferris Bueller's Day Off but it was a 1961 GT 250 California Spyder convertible. Well done!
70 Sting Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 You did an awesome job on a beautiful car. ?
Funkychiken Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 It's a dream build for me, yours looks fantastic!
