Ferrari 250 GTO

Only 39 produced between 1961 and 1964.  Won the GT championship for Ferrari 3 years straight, 1962 through 1964.  In 1965 it finally lost to the American Shelby Cobra.  2953cc V-12, 295 hp

This is the Italeri kit in a Testors box.  I thought I had some engine pics but I can't seem to locate them, I'll add if I find them.  Comments welcome, thanks for looking.

Very nice build.  Interesting that Italeri sold the molds to Testors only a year later or perhaps just bought the branding rights.  Have the kit ever been reissued since 1988?

From what I read on this forum (from people who know more about kit manufacturers than me) is that Testors never owned any molds. All their kits were just repackaged kits from different manufacturers.

Looks great!  Reminds me of Cameron's Dad's Ferrari in Ferris Bueller's Day Off but it was a 1961 GT 250 California Spyder convertible.  Well done!
