ya know when you have to spray, say a small section in the front or rear of your car and you don't want to mask 3/4 of the car with tape or paper and tape. Well keep the bags that your model spruces come in, most of the time they are big enough for the whole body to fit in. Then tape the bag close to the area you are painting. Make sure you close off the top and bottom of the bag, then paint. When done take the tape off and the bag comes with it The body is protected and you are good to go

Yes, this is excellent technique. Soft plastic bags (of any kind) are good to use, but don't use cling wrap as it  might react with freshly  painted surfaces.

If someone does not have empty bags used to hold kit's parts trees, for smaller models (like 1:43) simple folding top (not zipper) store-brand sandwich bags  work. For larger scale models I use Hefty 1 gallon baggies.

I have used the bag trick whenever I am doing a two-tone paint job.

I helps keep that sneaky 2nd color from getting around some missed tape layer.

I used the technique to mask the Landau stripe on my 74 Hurst Olds.

That's a great way to mask. I don't use it because I am plagued at times with static electricity which can and does do funny things to sprayed paint. I typically use either white butcher paper or masking paper taped to the edge of the already masked areas.

I use plain paper most of the time. I save some stuff off the printer to write on the back. Paper carries no static charge, so a win-win. I'll also spray away from the taped line whenever possible.
