Yeah Nah Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 The interior 'tub' was an atrocious fit and took some cutting, adding plastic, re-arranging and general fiddling about but got there in the end to produce a model that I'm pretty pleased with. Thanks for looking! 8
Brian_R Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 If the interior tub was way short, you probably got one that had the Vickie interior tub. They produced a bunch that way but would send you the correct one - back when. 2

espo Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Great looking '32. Like the subdued looking colors and the well detailed body lines. 1
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Surprised to see a stock build. Was expecting a hotrod. Very nice. 1
happy grumpy Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Nice to see one of these build stock. Great color choice. Great clean build. 1
ea0863 Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 I'm liking the subdued color combo - looks very period correct. I'm also going to need to pull my AMT out of mothballs and break the seal to see if I have the correct tub... 1
karbuildr Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Don't often see this built factory stock and yours is really very well done. Hard to believe that top is plastic, it looks so real. Nice and clean very good detailing. 1
Zippi Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 I'm with Mario on this one. Nice to see a stock bulld of this one. They were the cat's meow back in the day. Nicely done. 1
Flatout Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Nice work on an old classic kit…the color combo is perfect. 1
James2 Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 What a nice clean build! Fit and finish spot on and the colors work perfectly, well done. 1
carrucha Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 Nice build. The black and gray look good on this build. 1
Erock Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 That came out great! I'm working on the same kit as we speak, but doing it as the hot rod version ? 1
alan barton Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 That's a beautiful build of a pretty average kit! I found out about the Vicky interior many years ago while teaching high school kids how to build models. This kid comes up to my desk and says something to the effect of "This thing sucks, the dumb thing doesn't fit , its not my fault yadda, yadda, yadda." In my most professional and compassionate tones I re-assured him that , "Of course it fits, we'll just fit it up towards the firewall - wait a minute, we'll move it towards the back a touch, hang on, maybe if I just, just, just, ahh, this thing sucks, the dumb thing doesn't fit, it's not my fault........" LOL! Long story short, I had a spare correct interior at home, I swapped it with the kid's Vicky interior and we all lived happily ever after!!! Cheers Alan 1
Yeah Nah Posted October 15, 2023 Author Posted October 15, 2023 Thanks Alan. Like your student, I myself thought ''this thing sucks'' but just put it down to AMT-itis. I wasn't aware of the Vicky interior tub history of this kit until Brian pointed it out in an earlier post.
spencer1984 Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Beautiful job on this, probably the cleanest build of it I've seen! 1
