Wow. Excellent work on this- I am glad you committed to diving in and bringing this build across the finish line.

Beautiful! Gorgeous color, too. Always wanted one of those kits, but I've been lucky enough to get a couple others. Hope you don't mind me sharing this, but I think the orange and blue would look nice sitting on a shelf, together.

The only thing I'd change is the zip code. Really nice work. What paint did you end up using?

Thanks Dave.  After several spoon tests the best I could come up with was Tamiya clear orange lacquer over Testors Chrysler bronze lacquer.

Very clean build. I love the orange! It would be amazing if some of those old Johan kits could be reissued....

I would buy at least six of them, These are beautiful cars, I had two mint one of this kit, And sold them , Big mistake on my part. Perfectly done!!!

Bummer. I wish I would have bought more Johan kits as a kid...

What a beautiful model. Lovely work all around. It's great to see a rare old kit built, and so nicely done.

I always thought these were one of the nicest looking cars of the late 60s. They always seemed under-appreciated, though I guess that's AMC in general. This kit has been at the top of my want list for over a dozen years now. They must be very expensive, though just how much as hard to tell since in all that time so very few have become available. And I won't be spending collector money on one, because I do intend to build it if I get one.
