Since Chris (Hpiguys) got to built up a test shot of the upcoming 'vette a couple of months ago, I'm hoping Revell sends him a test shot of this kit when available. Personally I can't wait to see this kit commercialized, been wanting a modern kit of this generation of Chevy Trucks like forever. WillyBilly
Does anyone have an idea of actual release date on the Blazer? Everything I have read gives no idea of date.

I wouldn't expect it until late this year if it makes 2024 at all. The C8 Corvette would be the next new tool kit that needs to be released. Sledsel
Well, if want all the kits from the series and to display them together, the 1/24 Camaro will look out of place. They need a good 1/25 Camaro of this era

iamsuperdan
Season 5 of Stranger Things is due out in mid-late 2025. I would guess that Revell will wait to release these kits around the same time. As the hype machine for the new series starts to build, and excitement grows for the final season of the show, I suspect that is when Revell will start to announce and release these ST kits.

This right here is the logical answer...

mopardes
I cant wait to "kit bash" the 85 Blazers with the 76 & the Sod Buster

The 81-91 Blazer front sheet metal is different than the 73-80, so not sure what you can do between the two. The Sod Buster may yield a different grille, but that is about it. I think the aftermarket community will have some cool stuff for it that would be better suited for "bashing" the new kit. Already there are wheel and tires from Fireball that would be a natural, along with some of his other off road parts.
Rob Hall
I could see someone using the MPC bodies over the new Revell dirty bits to the get the better chassis, suspension, etc detail. Edited July 20 by Rob Hall
Can-Con
I think everyone should only build the kits exactly as they say on the instructions and only with the parts that come in the box. NEVER be creative in any way. This is how I ALWAYS assemble my miniatures and I believe everyone else would always follow the rules. ? Now lets have no more of this "kitbashing" poppycock. ? 2

Well, Revell can change out Grilles and Stock Wheels to depict different years. The 5 small, round lenses that are already on the Glass Tree indicate that a Light Bar or Brush Guard with Lights has already been planned for. (and given what we now know about Revell tooling, those parts have already been tooled, and are just waiting for release sometime in the far future) I can see the Blazer going into a couple of different variations. The Real Thing used this sheet metal 1981-1991. Full Tilt Off Road Warrior, Base Model, Maybe other LEO uses. Even just a nice, Weekend 4x4, with a Gas Can and Brush Guard. Or Pair it with a trailer and some Jet Skis, or an ATV.

If Revell still has the molds for their wetbikes and trailer, this would make for a wicked combo, similar to their "Gone Fishin" set.
stavanzer
I was thinking of this, but the wetbikes are cool too.
Luc Janssens
Is this also a possibility, or too new?
stavanzer
I'd say yes, Luc. Tow rig from '85, trailer & load from '99. Easily seen in many neighborhoods here in the U.S. Would be a great load.
Fabrux
That trailer in the '99 is the same as the one reissued with the Bronco and dune buggy. Chances are high that Revell still has all the accessories to go along with it.
mikemodeler
Revell could make a lot of us happy by issuing kits of the various toys that could be pulled by different vehicles- dirt bikes, jet skis, ATVs, boats- either as stand alone kits or combos like the recent Broncos.
Ragtop Man
The parts breakdown of the ST Blazer suggests to me that there could be an all new (and desperately needed) Squarebody pickup in the future. Given the popularity of trucks in general, it would be a pretty smart move.

You can... You can just build a model with only whatever comes in the box? When did this become a thing? Man, knowing that would have saved me quite a few headaches. ?? 2
slusher
Wonder why Round 2 has not released their snow blazer? I never saw the first release. I am looking forward t the Revell Stranger things Blazer!
