Danno Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 (edited) Another fantastic kit that replicates a magic police car. "Magic" because it doesn't require any sort of antennae for its radio equipment! Nor does it require inner shafts and handles to operate its A-pillar mounted spotlights! Semi-"magic" because it mates a 2020's car with a 1980's-1990's prisoner divider/cage. Ahh, well. There's always another year . . . Edited October 21, 2023 by Danno 1

You can’t really see much of it in these pictures. 1
SteveG Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 All the Police equipment included in the kit were modeled after equipment shown on either the official 2021 Dodge Pursuit Demo, in service current generation Charger Patrol Cars or shown in equipment catalogs that were current at the time of development. Spotlight handles would have also required A pillar trim to attach them to, things like mast antennas and microphone cords are too fragile to mold in scale and are easy to make with common detailing materials. There were also limitations on how many total parts I could have, considering there a still an unannounced third version coming. -Steve 15 1
Engine 51 Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 This kit will allow me to model the car my son drives every working day. OCSD 1

espo Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 Would like to see a wide body option. I'm sure someone in the resin world could come up with fender flares.

martinfan5 Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 @SteveG, Any chance you can pre paint the windshield/rear window in this issue like you did with the windshield in Bronco? 2

Iceman Collections did one a while back, but it's no longer available. He does have a custom widebody parts kit now, but it's not the factory style. https://icemancollections.com/products/wb-wide-body-kit-for-2021-dodge-charger-1-25 And for those that print their own, there are a few different wide body Hellcat files on Cults3D.. https://cults3d.com/en/search?q=charger+widebody Edited October 25, 2023 by Rob Hall 1

wrenchr Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 SteveG, Thank you for your involvment here to explain the real world realities the model companies face!! 1
charlie8575 Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Does anyone make a Pentastar/matching transmission in the resin or 3-D print world? Worcester PD has a bunch of the Pentastar V-6 cars. Charlie Larkin

Jordan White Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 Regardless of your political leanings, it’s interesting that they included the “thin blue line” flag. 1

Which is funny since California is the last state that would allow that flag to be on a patrol car. It says more about Round 2's politics, which I appreciate. 2

Note the decals are just decals, not meant to be a political statement or endorsement by Round2 or its staff one way or another. I like to believe this is still a hobby that can bring people with very different interests and viewpoints together. However, I would assume if you're interested in building a Police Car replica model, you probably support the Police and are not offended by any graphics that might be displayed on a Police Car. -Steve 6 4
