bluestringer Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Finished up this little drag car. Nice kit, but some fit issues with the hood and interior tub that I tried to make fit a little better. The frame had a warp that I didn't notice until it was too late to fix. I decided to go with no trim, and no front bumper. I built a rear push bumper. It was the Coke kit, but I used some decals I found in my parts stuff. All in all came out ok. 3 1
Zippi Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 That turned out pretty nice James. Love these 40 Fords.
TransAmMike Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Good job James, looks good in blue. One day I might finish mine.
Yeah Nah Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Turned out great James. Did the Coke issue of this kit come with the green tinted glass or did you tint it yourself? I have the 'Original Art' issue and it only has plain clear.

Sledsel Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Turned out nice. Yea, sometimes these old kits can give you fit issues. Been there, but now I now do a ton of mock ups even before painting and even then will have issues, albeit smaller ones.
s10chevypu Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 James, Nice Looking 40 Ford you have. Good job.
Rattlecan Dan Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Really Cool-looking build. Very eye-catching color and detail. Nice job.
Andrew McD Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Man I hate warped frame surprises but you seem to have dealt with it very effectively. I too love that body style. Very nice looking hot rod.
