This is my Honda Civic Hatchback, built from the old Revell Tuner series kit. I just posted a short buildup on WIP and here are my pictures of the finished kit. This is my first build in a few years as my wife and I bought a 100 year old small rock house and spent 3 years making it a home. The bonus for me was that it included a large metal building next door. I just turned a corner of that into a hobby room and this the first product of that. It looked really nice to my tired eyes, but seeing it now in closeup pictures I can see the mistakes. Oh well, them's the breaks!

The trim detailing is mostly Sharpie and fine line Japanese marker. The head and tail lights on this kit are very well done, the buckets being chrome and the lenses being molded in clear. I did the taillights in red and orange Sharpie on the backsides of the and outlined the edges of all the lenses in black Sharpie which I think gives them a nicely finished look. The driving light area in the lower bumper is gunmetal paint with the lenses done in Blue Sharpie. The wheels and tires are from XS Tuning as I didn't care for the tuner options that come with the kit.

That's about it for this build. This is a really well designed kit in my opinion. It comes with three sets of tuner wheels and a set of rubber band style tires. It also comes with a parts to almost do a stock EK Civic hatchback along with tuner style front and rear bumpers. I do wish Revell would rerelease it with a set of stock steel wheels to give us a total stock building option.

That's all for now, hope you like it.

Well done build. I remember when these tuner kits first came out. I agree, they go together nicely. Yours looks great in white and the wheels really add a lot, good choice.

Great looking paint finish and it goes well with the interior. Like the body trim detailing and the wheels & tires.

Very well done, in my opinion! Did you use panel liner in the seat crevices? It looks shaded.

Yes, I have one I got at AnimeCon a couple of years ago. Don't know what brand it is because it's in Japanese! It's a super fine tip and I used it on the seats and on the body panels.

Nice! I picked up a Gundam panel marker (or 2) at Hobby Lobby, for that same purpose. I think the writing on those is in Japanese as well. They fit in the panel lines perfectly!

Looks great! I’m currently working on the same kit! Took me a while to find a decent kit on eBay, and I eventually bought old copies of all of the tuner series kits. I built the Civic and Integra coupes as a teen when these kits were new. Revell definitely needs to release all of these again. The Eclipse and 6th gen Civic coupe have been released recent-ish as Fast and the Furious movie tie-ins, and are already expensive because of the movies. But the Integra, RSX, 5th gen Civic coupe, 6th gen Civic Hatch, and WRX haven’t been released in a long time. Revell, us Millennials are nostalgic for our generation’s cars and old kits too!

I've got the Integra and the I think I have the Civic Coupe kit somewhere. Not a tuner, but I also have the Acura NSX snap kit Revell put out. That's another kit I wish they'd put out again.
