A really nice kit , fun to build but,,, a lot of small tiny parts,(mainly the trim) a miracle I didn't loose any in the floor black hole. You have to be careful when removing them from the sprue as they are strongly attached to the tree. A good thing so they don't get loose, a not so good thing as they are a pain to clean up being so tiny but once cleaned they fit perfectly in place. I tried to match the box art. I remember a teacher from high school , she had one exactly like this. These are my favorite BMW's (I know, color me old school ). Very classy, just as her owner. A lot of small parts but the result is a fine replica. I had fun and frustration building it , my aging, shaky hands not always helping, patience patience and more patience. It could be better but, all in all, I am quite happy with it.

As always friends, thanks for your time.

Nice!

I don't know exactly what it is about this car but I also love it.  It just looks good!  One of my all time favorite designs.  The orange color is so '70s.  My favorite are  either white or light metallic blue.

The 2002 has been my favorite BMW since it first came out , and one of my favorite of all cars, and you built an excellent model of it. A clean and beautiful build.

A traditional great color on these cars.... I remember the local BMW dealership had a duplicate of this in the showroom when I bought my first BMW. Nice build

Perfect color for this model of BMW. The paint finish looks great and the chrome trim as well. These were when I first learned what BMW was. I looked at one of these kits at a show/swap meet a couple of years ago. The degree of difficulty along with already having spent my model allowance for the show is the only reason I didn't get it.

I really like this build. A friend had one of these for a while, real fun car. Your replica is excellent. And your photography and background are superb.

Wow Mario, what a gorgeous build. Patiently working off all that trim really paid off. The model as you built it combined with the diorama and that color...looks so real I feel transported back to the seventies. In the sixties american cars were brash, beautiful, dominant but it changed in the seventies as all these wonderful small, nimble import sports cars showed up in growing numbers. BMW2002, 240Z, RX7, TR6, X-19, 914, 924, Capri...those were the days.

OK Scotty, please beam me back.

Thanks for the time capsule Mr Tondreau!

Just beautiful work Mario! And I'm with you on the great classic look of this vehicle with the "Jagermeister" colors. There was one at SEMA this year that apparently stole your idea too :) .53316515350_10840d2b6b_b.jpg.062aad1c31d873641c4320318d463339.jpg
