1st 700 Quad Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) With the upcoming release of the AMT 1960 Ford P/U is anyone planning to resin cast or 3D print the different grille for the bigger sized trucks, F-700, F-750 and F-800? Widening the fenders should be relatively easy but it would be nice to gave an accurate grille to put on the front of it. Steve Edited November 16, 2023 by 1st 700 Quad
Rob Hall Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 That looks a lot like the 1959 F-100 grille. I'd like to see a '59 grille and trim for the '60 kit. One thing peculiar I've noticed about the '58-60 Ford trucks is they seem to have huge gaps between the grille and hood.

The picture I posted was taken from the 1960 Ford Heavy Duty Truck model sales brochure. Now I'm wondering if they used the 1959 grille on the 1960 Big Truck models....

Right, the 1960 heavies F 700 thru F 1100 used the carryover 59 grill and 58 hood. Would like to see the '59 F 800 ( first photo-blue) done in a high quality 3d resin. The medium duty 1960 F 500-F 600 ( shown in above photo-red) uses the same cab and grill as the 1960 F 100 pickup kit, just a simple fender opening enlargement is necessary for the larger 20" wheels, bumper is larger also. Hopefully the 3d printer people can do some '58 hoods and grills and a '59 hoods and grills ( both years are completely different) than the '60 version.
