gks1964 Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 FINISHED THIS ONE UP TODAY. STARTED AS A CRUDE 3D PRINTED BODY. INTERIOR AND CHASSIS FROM THE AMT 69 GALAXIE. 9
ncbuckeye67 Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Very nice! My sister had a 71 wagon (it was doo doo brown, Lol). 1
bobss396 Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Great body style. There was a local one that was used to deliver auto parts, it had a 429 and factory 4-speed. I tried to buy it for a while, then it was gone. 1
Maindrian Pace Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Crude print or not, the dimensions are pretty decent, especially at the front and rear. Nice job, I remember when those cars were everywhere. 1
Sledsel Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Nice looking 71! You did it justice for sure! Crude start or not it came out very nicely. I only see some minor issues with the print that could be fixed easily I think. Probably the reason I see them is I own one of these cars. 1
Koellefornia Kid Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Beautiful work! Id love to have full detail kit to play with... 1
Yeah Nah Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 Long and low- therefore I love it! Great job. 1
bobss396 Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 A friend of mine used to run a wrecker service and moved a lot of junk cars. I drove for him off and on when I was out on workman's comp.... Anyway, he got all of his cars at the junkyards, and so did i. Many times the cars had a minor issue that was easily fixable. So he finds a '71 LTD for his wife to drive. It was quite clean, it needed a transmission. We changed it while it hung from the back of a tow truck. That car ran well for years. 1
mcs1056 Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I would be most appreciative if you could point me to a source for one of these. 1
polybius Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Very nice to see this! Nice job on the build! It reminds me of my great uncle's white '71 LTD 2dr that he kept even after updating to a baby blue '74 2dr. He seemed to like driving both, and seeing your build brings back great memories! 1
