Tommy124 Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Hi there, this is my first kit with tobacco decals on it. Decals are from Shunko. Paint is Tamiya spray and 1K clear. I used carbon fibre decals for the monocoque and replaced the kit's air intake funnels with selfmade metal parts. 4
Mittagskind Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 That's great. Clean and very fine detailed. 1
Pierre Rivard Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Looks very sharp. Your paint finishes in classic Marlboro livery is spectacular and the carbon fiber work is impressive. Beautiful! 1
Rich Chernosky Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Very well done. Nice crisp detailing especially on the engine and carbon fibre. Did you use Tamiya TS36 for the red?. Over what base.? The color looks spot on. 1
drodg Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Looks really great. I have that kit though never tackled it. Excellent job on the details etc. 1

Yes, I used TS-36 sprayed through the airbrush. Masking the read areas was done using BMF for having sharp edges. The base is Tamiya TS-101 Base White. By now I use this for all white bodies I paint. The beauty about it is that it's technically a white primer but it is glossy. So no extra white paint is required and you can apply decals right onto it.
Tommy124 Posted November 30, 2023 Author Posted November 30, 2023 Many thanks, Andrew, Tony and Carl!
