information needed on 78thunderbird linberg snaptite model

I have a linberg 78 thunderbird snaptite unopened still in plastic wrap I heard they are rare the kit number is 383 can anyone give some information

Yes, sort of hard to find, but not really worth the effort. Very basic 1/32 scale snap kit. And not a very good one.

My first car was a 78 Thunderbird, so I wanted one of these Lindberg kits so I could build a replica. Found one last summer on eBay for a reasonable price. I think I paid $35 including shipping.

To say I was disappointed when I opened it up is an understatement. Maybe a dozen parts, very simplistic.

 

Luckily, I have the files and will be 3D printing a 1/24 version.

Like Palmer brand kits, the Lindberg Thunderbird is more valuable to nostalgia collectors than to builders. They were designed for young beginner builders, with a low parts count.

I built that kit when I was 7.  Mine is molded in purple.  Lindberg had a neat variety of 70s snap kits.  Not very detailed, but fun to build as a kid.

Does anyone know the value of the 78 thunderbird from linburgvstill original plastic on unopened box it's just a simple snap tight I heard it was rare any info welcome on value welcome

As mentioned in my previous post in this very thread, values are low. I paid $35 for one, including $10 shipping from US to Canada.

Other Lindberg snap kits are on eBay right now for less than $30.

Just because something is old, doesn't mean it's valuable.

I would start looking at houses to buy with all that cash you're about to be rolling in.

"Rare" doesn't automatically mean "Valuable".  ,,and I wouldn't exactly call it "rare" either. 

Personally, I wouldn't give you the price of a coffee for it but it might mean a lot to someone who owns a real '78 Thunderbird.
