MurfTwice Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 I wanted to do an old school body style USA-1 monster truck but could not figure out how to do the fender flares. Shower rings, clear plastic shower rings. I cut them to fit the height I wanted and then dremeled to fit the body contour. Still need to round out the bottoms but this is what we got so far. 2
iamsuperdan Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Nicely done. Del Griffith would be proud.
magicmustang Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 My USA-1 Chevy Monster truck came with fender flares in the box. Granted they were for the Ford Monster truck but they should be able to be reworked to fit the Chevy.
MurfTwice Posted May 12, 2024 Author Posted May 12, 2024 (edited) Thanks everyone. Got the flares done and on the truck. Next will be fitting it up to do the body raise with it leaving the firewall, floorboard and seats on the frame. Edited May 12, 2024 by MurfTwice

MurfTwice Posted May 19, 2024 Author Posted May 19, 2024 Thanks FoMoCo66 Heres what I was able to work on today. Nothings glued just mocking up. firewall and the seats the door panels that will get glued to the inside of the cab Fitting with the body. I used a bumper to prop the body to give an idea of the raised look. Haven’t figured out how I’m going to hinge the body.
MurfTwice Posted June 4, 2024 Author Posted June 4, 2024 Working on the floorboard, seats, and firewall. I cleaned it up a little, added the radiator and mocking up the body. I know the grilles not right but I like it better the stock plus it’s the closest I’m going to get to a billet grille.
FoMoCo66 Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 So cool, I love what your doing with the flip up body.
MurfTwice Posted October 12, 2024 Author Posted October 12, 2024 Finished interior mounted to the frame. I’m using the front wheel mounts from the donor kit to make the body raising pins. I found some body pins from an old r/c to clip to the pins. Don’t know if I want to glue the clips to the body or leave them loose. Body set and raised. I think it’s going to work out pretty good.
