TheBEAUMONTGURU Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 Has anyone converted the Revell 65 or 66 chevy FLEETSIDE from a short bed to a longbed? I interested to see how how you guys have done it?
64SS350 Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 I would start by googling for the dimensions. Either use two beds to get the length or utilize the Suburban body. IMO
TheBEAUMONTGURU Posted December 25, 2023 Author Posted December 25, 2023 OOOOOH. i hadnt thought of the suburban! will have to look into that, would perhaps save having to bodywork 2 box side joint seams. Thanks for the tip!
Fat Brian Posted December 25, 2023 Posted December 25, 2023 Chevy long beds split the added 18 inches into two sections. One foot is added to the end of the bed on the cab side of the rear wheel wells and six inches is added between the rear wheel well and back bumper. If you have the 72 chevy truck kit use the bed sides in it as guides and make your sides match them because the beds interchange on the real trucks. 1 1
