I apologize for the quality of the photos, but I just wanted to get it posted here. Tomorrow, I plan on taking the final photos. Hey! Did you have some pictures of your finnished interior? I know you put alot of time on it so it would be nice to see it!

Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I hadn't taken any interior photos (pre-final assembly) until after the body, interior, and chassis/engine were put together for the final time! I genuinely thought I had taken at least one of the interior and dash upon their completion, but after checking, I didn't.

White Rabbit Posted December 17, 2024 Author Posted December 17, 2024 Hello Cannonballers! With this year's winner being announced, the 2024 running of the Cannonball Run has come to a close. I want to thank everyone who participated in the build. We had a lot of great builds that seem to be getting more impressive every year! Congratulation again to our winner, Anton! As was expected, the final vote was close with the top three separated by only two votes each (8, 6, and 4). I've enjoyed moderating the Cannonball these past two years and I appreciate everyone who gave me the opportunity to do so! Thank you! However, there are several projects that I am planning on working on in the coming year, so I will not be moderating next year's Run. Yet, the Cannonball should continue as it is a great annual tradition. So, if anyone is interested in moderating, please let us know. Thank you again for a great two years! Though, I wont be moderating, I am planning on still entering next year. And, just a reminder, next year's Run will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the 1975 Cannonball Run! 4
oldcarfan Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 (edited) I enjoyed the chance to participate and thanks to you for moderating so well! Maybe we can do something special to commemorate the 50th anniversary this year. Also, I'd like to mention that Jean Lindamood Jennings passed yesterday from Alzheimers at 70. If you read Car and Driver or Automobile Magazine in the 80s and 90s, you will remember her fondly. It feels like all my heroes are passing away. Here she is in glasses and hat in the 1984 One Lap Of America competing in a Dodge Van with her friends, Walker Evans, and Parnelli Jones. Edited December 17, 2024 by oldcarfan Can't Bloody Spell!
Mattilacken Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 (edited) Hi all! Thanks for all the congratulations! And first of all, thanks Enzo for the last 2 years! It has been fun to build along! I have spoken to Enzo and I will make the 2025 CBR hapen, its 50 years since the run in 1975 so its an aniversary! I will do so of course if its fine with everybody else! I will start the suggestion thread for topic now and then we decide probably with a pol if there isn’t a clear winner in the thread. Hope to see all of you participating and hopefully more since it’s a 50th anniversary CBR! And remember! We love to se as many as possible to reach the finish line, but just as in the real CBR things happen. And suddenly you have that deer standing in the middle of the road and staring into your headlights and you suddenly find yourself stranded in a ditch which makes you miss the Finnish. But its not just about finishing, it’s about the journey! So, I really hope all of you can take part of this anniversary CBR! Best regards Anton Edited December 18, 2024 by Mattilacken 2

Thank you, Mike! It was certainly an honor to be able to host the Cannonball; particularly with such enthusiastic builders who truly make the Run what it is! 1
