moparmike619 Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 This kit was kind of a fight, but definitely worth the effort. While the finished product isn’t very realistic with the dual rear axle design and the over simplified chassis (don’t look at the bottom), it is still a very cool piece in the case to display a drag car on the back. Paint is Tamiya TS-12 Orange with Rustoleum Canvas White. Built box stock except a front plate from Best Model Car Parts and trim done in a combination of BMF and Ultracal precut chrome strips. This was also my first attempt at weathering anything: I decided to try out weathering the engine bay and the ramp but leave the body clean. 5
Zippi Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Good looking hauler. Nice looking little passenger on the back. 1
slusher Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 I have to agree good looking race hauler and Willys pickup looks great! 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 That is amazing! I love the weathering. The top of the air cleaner looks so realistic (so does the rest of it)! I may have to try this. They can't all be shiny & new looking. 1
carrucha Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Looks good. I have one of these in my stash. 1
stavanzer Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Nice Work. The weathering is very well done. Looks like they just washed it, before heading out to the strip. Good Show.
