1991MN12 Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 This is my first Truck post on this forum. I love this generation of Ford Trucks. This Revell kit was absolutely amazing. Great detail and molds, tons of parts and just an all around dream to build. I really enjoyed building this kit. Looking to buy the newest Revell release of the extended cab, flare side kit. Am I ever glad this is a truck because the paint is weathered. The weathering and different shades on the cab and box was all because the nozzle on the Dupli Color failed and started leaking mid paint job. I paint off site so its a do or die paint mission. The rough texture was achieved by not sanding the primer because I was just so excited to paint... This was one of my first Dupli Color jobs and I learned a ton on how to spray and prep with this paint. Finished with Dupli Color Ford Pacific Green Metallic, Interior is Tamiya TS 81. This truck has earned its keep as my work bench "shop truck" hence the dust. I usually store parts in the bed while working on a kit. The pit bike, jack and tool box are from a MPC D100 kit that I will showcase soon. 4
Jim B Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 Great looking F-150. Really well done. I like this generation of Ford trucks, too. 1
Chuck Most Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 Love it! I often use pickups to hold parts for other projects too. ? This is the one version of this kit I wish they'd reissue. 1
hct728(Bob) Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 (edited) Great job! So nice to see somebody else give these kits and this generation of pickups some love! I have a Lightning version to do as well, looking for ideas like this, so thanks! Edited January 5, 2024 by hct728(Bob) 1

I like it, this is the bodystyle I want to build up next.
hct728(Bob) Posted January 6, 2024 Posted January 6, 2024 Yes, CNTL, I see them on the highway all the time. The Ford is supposed to be a companion service truck to the Volvo VN 670 I just checked, the Revell Ford Lightning kit I have (two) is a standard cab like yours, I just need some inspiration for something a little different 1

See them everywhere here in B.C.. I was gonna make custom BC Rail decals for my D100 I have posted on the forum, build it up as a yard truck. 1
oldcarfan Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 It sure would be nice to see Revell re-release all these old tools. I recently started looking for the unbuilt ones I had in storage to use for my Cannonball project and they seem to have disappeared. I had this long-bed kit, the extra-cab one, and the Lindberg version and can't find them. I did find the Harley version with the trailer and motorcycle, but I'm squeamish about cutting it up. 1

Yeah that Harley kit is nice, I know AMT released the Lindberg 4wd reg cab flare side kit.
stavanzer Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Very Nice Build. You nailed the 'Work Truck' vibe, with this kit. I especially like the little extras from the other kit. It gives it some life, and a 'lived-in' look. Good Show! 1
