Pete68 Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 I received the new 1/32 Revell Chevy Bison for Christmas and I thought I rob the decals out of it and build one of my old Monogram trucks I got off eBay and keep the new one for a build later. I’m building this one on the debut truck from 1977. 1
Pete68 Posted January 8, 2024 Author Posted January 8, 2024 Frame is painted. I painted it Allis Chalmers Orange and here’s a mock up. I also redone the front wheels for a more convincing look. 1
Rockford Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 Your having a 1/32 frenzy! The decal sheet in that reissue Bison looks great, with all the stripe colour options etc... Nice job so far, Looking forward to seeing it take shape. 2

I guess I am Steve just burned out on 1/25 scale for awhile. The decals go on nicely and are easy to work with. 1
Pete68 Posted November 20, 2024 Author Posted November 20, 2024 (edited) Last night worked on this on a little. Added the Mudflaps, Tanks, and Tarp. I thinned the front bumper down and added it also. Enjoy the pics. Edited November 20, 2024 by Pete68 1

I always will have a special place in my heart for these Snap Bison/ Generals they were my real first models that Mom and Dad and Bill gave me for Christmas 1979 I got one of each for Christmas. I’ll never for get it. I’m taking a short break from the 1/25 General and going to tidying up some of these. Thanks for stopping by. Edited November 21, 2024 by Pete68 1
Jürgen M. Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 I can only agree and I'm Happy for Steve that hes got a scale companion! You guys are champs in this scale! Always fun and interesting to watch! 2
Rockford Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Ha! It's nice to see more snapper subjects on the site. The General was the first snapper I ever built and I was amazed at how well it went together and how good it looked. I ended up with quite a few. You're doing a great job there Lee, looking forward to seeing them parked together. 2

Pete68 Posted November 24, 2024 Author Posted November 24, 2024 This evening I painted and detailed the interior. Should be under glass tomorrow I hope 2
Biggu Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Another one I’d be proud to drive down the highway ! Nice clean straight build. Looking forward to seeing the final product, Lee… 1

This is the way I build and always have built Model Trucks. I could go crazy on it with more details but that’s just not me. I’ll leave the crazy detailing and precise building to my brother Bill. Bill sets the bar for me way too high and I’m scared of Heights 😂. Edited November 24, 2024 by Pete68 1

Thanks Steve I can tell I’m getting a little older when I was detailing this last night. The hands are not as steady as they once was and with glasses picking out the dash was getting to be a challenge. I have Bison with a decal dash I’m going to try it I’m not a big fan of those but looks like down the road might be the better option. 1
BK9300 Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Really like the paint/decal combo on this - totally get the shaky hands bit. Good looking truck. 2

Thanks for the complement. Yes I guess it’s time now for that stuff but could be a lot worse off. Yes this paint scheme is probably my favorite too. 1
