kymdlr Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 From the movie “Training Day”. Need to add license plates and she’s done. 6
espo Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 Great looking Monte, these don't seem to get much love. I recall the movie, and this looks just like the car Denzel drove.
karbuildr Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 I think this might be the first one I've seen built. Very well done Monte.
Koellefornia Kid Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 Great build! A jewel in every movie car gallery!

Don't know if you watch Motor Trend TV and the Shorty"s Body Shop show specifically, but last night, Sunday< he had a customer that wanted a Monte Carlo done just like this. You can usually find it on You Tube if not on Hot Rod TV. Just thought you might want to know. 1
carrucha Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 Good job. Nice to see a build of this movie car.
ncbuckeye67 Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 Excellent replica. Very well done! Is that the Trumpeter kit? The only 78/79 Monte Carlo kit I know other than that, is the "Wheeler Dealer" (of which I have one).
Beans Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 Looks Awesome!! one note - That reflective material in your photo setup casts a weird reflection on your model. But the model itself is great.

ncbuckeye67 Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 I wouldn't mind picking up a 78/79 promo, but the only one I've seen online is priced a bit high for me ($150.00 on Etsy. I try to avoid evilbay). I love your build, but hated what happened to the movie car.

ncbuckeye67 Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 You got lucky for sure! I'm always on the lookout though.
