Deathgoblin Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 This was a very nice kit to assemble. The windshield was broken when I got it, so I grabbed out the one from the 60 Impala kit. The paint is Duplicolor GM light blue over a base coat of Tamiya Coral Blue, and made it more of an aqua tone. 11
Zippi Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 That's a good looking Caddy. Love those big ole fins.
Rattlecan Dan Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 What a luxurious beast. You did an excellent job on it.
Yeah Nah Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Beautiful! Chevy windscreen seems to fit nicely.
ncbuckeye67 Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 That is absolutely stunning! These look so beautiful in stock form, I don't think I could bring myself to do my usual "restomod thing". I picked up one of these at a show last year, and after seeing your build, I may have to move this up to the front of the list.
espo Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Great looking Cadillac. That had to take some foil to trim this. Likie the neatly detailed body and engine compartment.
karbuildr Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Excellent build. Color looks great, beautiful engine compartment, and the underside weathering is very well done.
Deathgoblin Posted February 2, 2024 Author Posted February 2, 2024 Surprisingly, the windshield was a pretty easy fit. It wasn't quite exact. I lopped off the pins on the inside of the roof and slid the glass forward until I was just at the edge of the top of it, then clamped into place and glued it. I may try to make a replacement for the Impala later from the caddy's original piece.
bogger44 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 That's a beautiful Caddy, very nice work. Clean work on the miles of chrome.
Joe McDonald Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 I'm partial to Cadillacs, and this is one clean build! Nicely done. Those tires look better than the kit supplied ones too.

ewetwo Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 That is a stunning build. Love those old Caddy's
XYHARRY Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Good save on the windshield Brian, your detail work looks great and that colour is beautiful. Cheers, David. ??
