espo Posted February 10, 2024 Posted February 10, 2024 Nice looking little convertible. What color paint did you use?
Yeah Nah Posted February 10, 2024 Posted February 10, 2024 First time I've seen one of these in a convertible. Nice!
junkyardjeff Posted February 10, 2024 Author Posted February 10, 2024 The color is Tamiya champagne gold.
Camaro lover Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 Now that’s an old kit. Looks good in that color.
junkyardjeff Posted February 11, 2024 Author Posted February 11, 2024 I found a color close to GMs fawn beige that I really wanted but it was 20 dollars a can so this is what I got.
junkyardjeff Posted February 11, 2024 Author Posted February 11, 2024 It was missing the original wheels so I found some chrome rims in that bunch of 60s parts I picked up last year to go on it.
karbuildr Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 I like this kit, I like the color with the white interior and good choice of wheels. Excellent restoration.
blizzy63 Posted February 12, 2024 Posted February 12, 2024 Thanks for restoring and posting. That’s a real modeling time piece you have there. I like the stock 327 V8 engine. I still scratch my head on why AMT put that engine in the ‘63 Chevy II hardtop and convertible kits. (?)
ncbuckeye67 Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Very nice! I love a good restoration. To me, it's more satisfying making something rough look beautiful again, than building a brand new kit.
