adamelvis Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 (edited) This is a project that I am doing as a tribute to Paul Walker and the first 3 cars (Eclipse, Supra & Skyline) driven by his character “Brian O’Conner” in the films “The Fast and the Furious” and “2 Fast 2 Furious”. The 1994 Toyota Supra Turbo was first seen being delivered to Dom’s garage on the back of a flatbed truck. The car was in very rough shape and looked like it was an insurance write-off. Brian: “This is your Car !” Dom: “My car? I said a 10 second car, not a 10 minute car!” Edited March 7, 2024 by adamelvis 2
adamelvis Posted April 22, 2024 Author Posted April 22, 2024 Sanded down all the mold lines on the body. The stock hood fit better than the trans-kit hood, so I had to trace out the vents and cut them out. Also made the hood support frame. Used the reverse side of a blade and also a panel line scriber, to cut out the stock body sections, which will be replaced with the Bomex body kit. With a little bit of work and finesse, the body kit fit well. Panel lines are all scribed and now she’s ready for a light sanding and a coat of primer. TCB, Adam 6
Mattilacken Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 Looking great! Makes me wanting to finish my Supra wide body.
adamelvis Posted May 7, 2024 Author Posted May 7, 2024 The Toyota Supra is a Tamiya kit, so I was very surprised to see the lack of detail on the door panel. The poor excuse for an arm rest and lack of power window/door lock buttons. Top left is the original cast interior. Top right is the transkit. Bottom pics are my attempt to add details. Here is the door panel from AMT’s Supra kit. Since I have not yet invested in 3D printing, I will use the old school method. I will be adding photo-etched power buttons and a nice DM photo-etched speaker grill. TCB, Adam 1
tooltime-fan Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 (edited) Nice Projekt. I have the same transkit waiting in my stash Great Idea, using the AMT Supra Edited May 11, 2024 by tooltime-fan 1
Mr. Metallic Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Did this ever get finished, or at least further progress?

I was scratch building my own roll bar, to replace the one from the kit. Then took a break for the summer. Have now started work again on my dream “Eleanor” build. Will continue the Paul Walker Tribute builds come Spring ‘25 and finish the Toyota Supra (fully detailed accurately) and then start the silver Nissan Skyline ! TCB, Adam 2
