bluestringer Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 Picked this up at Ollies back a couple months ago. It's the Hot Wheels version. It is a nice little kit. I built it straight OOB, but did not use the Hot Wheels decals. Color is Testor's Metallic Green enamel, interior and top is Tamiya Tan. The engine I sprayed with Rustoleum Bright Coat. It went together well, the front suspension was a little finicky and the hood does not fit properly, seems too short, but I may not have the radiator installed as far back as it should be. I think it looks better without the hood anyway. The instructions called for gluing all the interior pieces and the fender wells together as one unit and then install into the body. I found that didn't work too well and added the fender wells and interior panels after installing it in the body. Worked out better that way. All comments welcome and thanks for looking. 6
Zippi Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 Oh yeah James. Nothing like a good looking little Hot Rod. Nice build.
Yeah Nah Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 Super clean build James! Really looks the part mate.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Nice! I built it too and you are right, the interior panels/rear wheel housings etc are tough to get right. Front suspension is fiddly. Yours looks just right.
Lobo2me Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Nicely done! I think I like it with the top even more!!!!
