Clay Posted August 30, 2009 Author Posted August 30, 2009 I will probably do the rear panel flat black. But as for the rims I havent made up my mind on yet.
Nick Winter Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I will probably do the rear panel flat black. But as for the rims I havent made up my mind on yet. Ok. Cool. What about a push bar? Are you going to build one or?
Clay Posted August 30, 2009 Author Posted August 30, 2009 I asked the guy that posted the Linberg Charger Kit if it came with an extra push bar. But he didnt answer me. So I thin I will use one from the other General lee kit.
Clay Posted August 30, 2009 Author Posted August 30, 2009 Well I got decals on it. Not the best decals. the flag ripped in peices and I pieced it back together as best as I could.
Raul_Perez Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 The paint looks like it went on pretty well!! You just have to love the Testors lacquer!! Later,
Clay Posted August 30, 2009 Author Posted August 30, 2009 Yeah I love this laquer paint. I did all this with 2 coats in an hour. It was dry. This is also my first time with resin, it held the paint really well.
vizio93 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 nice job with the decals man. hey when your done with it put it next to your 69' for a little photo shoot. that would look really cool.
Clay Posted September 3, 2009 Author Posted September 3, 2009 Ok guys, I only got about a week and a half left so I will try to get this done this long weekend.
Clay Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 Well guys, its almost done, got some final assembly. I will be leaving next week.
diymirage Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 coming along nicely but IMHO you gotta find some better wheels for it other then that, no complaints
Clay Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 (edited) coming along nicely but IMHO you gotta find some better wheels for it other then that, no complaints Sorry these will have to do for now. I don't really have time to make changes to it. Don't worry though I plan on making more of these when I get back from over there. And to let everyone else know, I am leaving Wednesday. Guest Sickfish Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 You've done a good job there Clay! Here's an 06 General I did when the original Testors kit came out 5 or so yrs ago. Converted the 4 door, lowered it, added the push-bar & threw on some Pegasus rims. Cliff :-)
Clay Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 Thanks everyone!! Cliff that is a good build, I had people telling me to do that but my skills aren't there yet.
Chuck Most Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Very cool, Clay! Not a huge fan of the New Charger or the General Lee, but for some reason I like seeing those two things combined! I'm shocked Daimler-Fiat-Chrysler or whoever makes Dodges nowadays hasn't done a factory version of one.
Clay Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 Thanks Chuck, this one has been added to our happy place.
Clay Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 And lets just say I got the decals to do this one
