JerseeJerry55 Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 I purchased an brand new AMT Chevrolet Titan 90 kit from eBay back in 2011. I started the kit then abruptly stopped (a familiar MO of mine). Over the years I lost some parts. However a few years ago I started to reaccumulate the missing parts (including the cab). I then decided to try and build her up. Project T-90 is now on the bench. My thought process is to make her a slightly dolled up O/O unit that was purchased from a used truck dealer (similar story to a certain Carroll Jo Hummer we all know and appreciate). I even have dirtied up the powerplant. Remember the only time you shouldn't see any build up is when she's on the showroom floor. 1
JerseeJerry55 Posted April 24, 2024 Author Posted April 24, 2024 Thanks Gary. I’ve heard this kits tough. I will see how it goes.
vincen47 Posted April 25, 2024 Posted April 25, 2024 Great start and a great backstory to inspire the build. I too find it very helpful to imagine a basic storyline behind a build to help inspire and guide the design and build process.
Jürgen M. Posted April 25, 2024 Posted April 25, 2024 The aged and dirtied engine looks cool. Can't wait to see how the rest develops! ?
Jürgen M. Posted April 25, 2024 Posted April 25, 2024 (edited) The Titan kit shouldn't be any different from the Astro Kit and that I found wasn't too tricky! Maybe the typical amt bugs like bent chassis rails or so but yours Looks pretty strait. Have fun! ? Edited April 25, 2024 by Jürgen M.
